KALD | Award Details

The Kuwaiti Association For Learning Differences (KALD) launches a special award for a number of students with learning difficulties and/ or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder who show tenacity, commitment and ability to adapt to a new way of education (online learning), during the academic year 2020-2021.


OBJECTIVES:

  • Encouraging students to work hard.
  • Honoring distinguished students who have adapted to the new system, which is distance learning.
  • Spreading the culture of excellence among students and developing positive attitudes towards teaching and learning.

CRITERIA:

  • One student from each grade is nominated from each school.
  • Only students in 9 to 12 grades can be nominated.
  • Only students with Learning Difficulties and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are eligible for nomination.
  • All nominated students should be officially registered in a public or private school in Kuwait.

NOMINATION MECHANISMS AND PROCEDURES:

  • The school administration coordinates with teachers in order to nominate students.
  • The school fills out the nomination form and submits it to The Kuwaiti Association for Learning Differences (KALD).
  • Certificates proving the student’s academic results during the year should be attached to the form.

EVALUATION:

Aspects of evaluation include the student's behavior during the on-line classes as well as their academic performance and grades.


NB: To nominate a student, kindly fill in the “Nomination Application Form” (download it from KALD’s website: www.kaldkuwait.com) no later than March 18th, 2021.
